It’s look like that I’ve found my new idol on the court: Christopher Emmanuel Paul, well known as Chris Paul a.k.a. CP3. Key player of New Orleans Hornets on point guard position. With 6-0 height, he is truly my man. I always love small guard with a lightning speed and quickness. That’s truly inspire me, a tiny player can be a huge factor right in the game.
CP3 was selected by Hornets on the first round of 2005 NBA Draft. Finished his rookie season with average 16.1 points, 7.8 assists, and 5.1 rebounds, CP3 was voted as 2006 NBA Rookie of The Year. He was the only unanimous selection to the 2005-06 NBA All Rookie First Team and was named Western Conference Rookie of the Month in every month(!) in the 2005-06 season. One word : WOW!
In this 2007-08 season, Chris Paul is averaging 21 points, 11.6 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 37.6 minutes of play. He helps the Hornets to achieve 56-26 record, the best in franchise history, and finished #2 in Western Conference standings.
With his maturity and passion for the game, CP3 has now become leader for his team. A truly complete point guard, he can score by himself or drive into the paint to throw excellent pass for his mates. He surely will knock 3 points shot if given an open space. Being #1 Steals Per Game in 2007-08 season will be a little proof about his defensive ability. Chris Paul also being the #1 in Assists and Efficiency Rating of the season, with my other men, Nash and J-Kidd, left behind him.
Right now, he has a big job to lead his team to compete in the playoff. Don’t know what to say, but he completely beat J-Kidd in the first 2 games of Hornets First Round Playoff against Dallas Mavericks. The Hornets now has 2-0 lead in the series. Well, it looks like Kidd and Nash will be past. Here he comes, the rising leader of the court. Still there is one big question mark: Chris Paul for MVP?
